Crawfish, barbecue and zydeco combine to benefit Catholic Social Services

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- Sunny skies and warm weather greeted guests Sunday, April 28 at the 5th Annual Crawfish & BBQ Festival on the grounds behind the Knights of Columbus Hall at St. Patrick School in Robertsdale.

The event served as a benefit for Catholic Social Services of Baldwin County and included all you can eat crawfish, plus corn, sausage, crawfish pasta and chicken and sausage jambalaya, along with barbecue, baked beans and Cole slaw.

Adults beverages and sodas were also available. Louisiana native and Grammy winning artist Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience entertained the crowd, along with the ever-popular crawfish races, which included more than 30 live mud bug participants. Other events included games and activities for kids, door prizes and raffle drawings.
