Connie Strength, Jr., 81, a longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, after an extended illness.

Connie was also an avid outdoorsman, who was as comfortable sitting in deer stands as he was sipping an evening glass of wine in his favorite rocking chair.

He was preceded in death by his father, Connie Strength Sr., and mother Helen Bishop-Strength.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Virginia Sproles-Strength; sister, Linda Strength-Bohannon; daughters Debra Strength-Ray and Helen Teresa Strength-Warhurst; sons Christopher M. Strength (wife Margaret), and Connie Michael Strength (wife Michele); grandsons Brian Ray, Reed Strength, Michael Strength, Mac Knight, and Charlie Knight; granddaughters Ashton Ray, Brooke Billingsley, Emma Strength, Elise Knight, and Cecelia-Ann Warhurst; along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation was held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. with funeral services immediately following. He was laid to rest alongside his family members at Brook Cedron Cemetery in Fairhope, Alabama.
