Columbia Southern University (CSU) is enhancing educational opportunities by introducing seven new degree programs, including four designed for doctoral students.
According to a press release, this expansion reflects a growing demand for advanced education, particularly in light of a recent surge in research doctorates.
According to Forbes magazine's February 2024 issue, the Survey of Earned Doctorates reported a 10.3% increase in research doctorates earned in 2022, marking the largest year-over-year growth since 1970. In response, CSU is working to provide more doctoral degrees for working professionals seeking to advance their careers.
The new programs include:
"In an effort to help meet today's demand for more graduate level education, we have launched several degree concentrations that target growing career fields," CSU President Ken Styron, DBA, said in the release. "Our programs offer advanced learning meant to empower those who want to guide and challenge the business of their career fields for the betterment of all."
In addition to these seven programs, CSU has introduced a total of 39 degree programs and certificates since the beginning of the year. For more information on the new programs, visit www.columbiasouthern.edu.
