Clifford R. Welk, age 83, a longtime resident of Fairhope, AL for 57 years, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022.
Clifford was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of First Baptist Church, Fairhope. He worked at Scott Paper Company, in Engineering, for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Theo Welk and his brother, William Welk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Peggy Spears Welk; sons, Christopher (Tammy) Welk and Patrick (Lisa) Welk; grandchildren, Claire and Taylor Welk; brother, John (Darlene) Welk of Peoria, IL; sister-in-law, Myra Welk Young, also of Peoria, IL, along with many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Visitation began at 10 a.m.
Interment was held in Memory Gardens of Fairhope following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
