FOLEY - Heads up, gamers! Clash eSports Center located in Downtown OWA (across the water from Legends in Concert theater) has been open for a few weeks now, catering to gamers all over the county. For the Grand Opening event held on Sat., Aug. 17 Clash opened its doors to an Apex Legends tournament featuring 24 competitors, 22 who qualified in rounds the previous day, and welcomed Twitch star Clint Comer, or “Clintus McGintus” on social media, and his son to enjoy a day of epic gaming. Clintus’ entire livestream of the tournament can be viewed on his Twitch channel.
The new gaming center is designed for gamers of all ages to come, hang out in a fun environment, and hop on their choice of PCs or consoles including PS4s, Nintendo Switches, and Xboxes to battle it out or use teamwork to conquer. With a selection of over 50 games available and new games slated soon (including new releases), there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Gameplay is priced by the hour.
All equipment is prepped and provided by Clash. For those who are interested in playing PC games but are more comfortable with controllers, premium controllers are available with an upcharge. You can find 26 state-of-the-art PCs available, with Corsair chairs, headsets, customizable color keyboards, and of course, lots of game options. Groups can crash in the “living room” setup and enjoy console gaming in the cozy chairs provided. Vending machines are onsite with an assortment of soft drinks, snacks, and energy drinks.
