Have you cleared the deck of all the fall and Thanksgiving décor? If you are looking for some fun events to enjoy this weekend, check out our picks. This list seems to incorporate a little of everything from exercise and shopping to football.

OPT OUTSIDE 2022

  • What: Skip the Black Friday shopping and head out to Gulf State Park where park naturalists have two tours scheduled. At 9 a.m. take an exclusive tour of the Gulf State Park Pier. Learn about the history of the resilient landmark. Then at 1 p.m. meet the naturalists at the Nature Center and take a walk in the park looking at flora and fauna. Don’t forget your binoculars.
  • When: Friday, Nov. 25, at 9 a.m.
  • Where: Gulf State Park Pier, 20800 E. Beach Blvd., Gulf Shores. The Nature Center is located at the Gulf State Park Campground
  • Price: Parking at the Pier is $3 and sightseeing fee is $2 per person.

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

  • What: Get out and support your local small business owners and get your holiday shopping list complete.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 26
  • Where: Find participating businesses by visiting sba.org

COASTAL HALF MARATHON

  • What: Run off all the turkey and trimmings. There is a race for every level with a 1-mile Fun Run, 5K and half marathon that takes participants through the Gulf State Park. Visit team-magic.com to register.

IRON BOWL BLOCK PARTY

  • What: Grab the family and head to Dauphin Street for live music, best-dressed and most-spirited fan awards before the big game. Take in the game on a Jumbo HD LED Screen. Support the local restaurants, bars and local vendors on Small Business Saturday. Bring your chairs and blankets.
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 26, 12:30 to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Dauphin Street between Cedar and Lawrence streets, Mobile
  • Price: Free to attend
