Charles William (“Charlie”) Davidson, 74, of Foley, Alabama, passed away on Apr.15, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
Born in Fort Payne, Alabama on Jan. 25, 1951, Charles graduated from Fort Payne High School in 1969. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having been stationed in Japan.
He was a Certified Telecommunications Engineer spending most of his working career at Ladd Engineering in Fort Payne, Alabama and Foley Alabama. While there he worked on communication projects in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, & Florida retiring in 2024 as their Vice President/Chief Operations Officer.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents William (“Billy”) Davidson and Janet Davidson, sister Barbara Davidson Parker and brother-in-law Bill Burns.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Satoko (“Miko”), his sons William (wife Kristen) & Kent Davidson, sisters Ann Davidson Burns & Moleta Davidson Wade and numerous nieces & nephews.
During his leisure time, Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, walking, swimming at the YMCA in Foley and watching reruns of “Gunsmoke” & “Andy”.
The family will gather for a remembrance & celebration of his life at a date in the near future. We all miss and love him so much.
