The Baldwin County Board of Education has announced changes to the three public meetings that are being held to discuss redistricting plans for several schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
Each meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a presentation from BCBE leadership, followed by a question-and-answer session.
According to the updated meeting schedule, the Nov. 4 meeting will focus on Summerdale School. The meeting will be held at the Summerdale School Gymnasium at 400 East Broadway St. in Summerdale. A presentation will be provided by Assistant Superintendent Joseph Sharp.
Previously, the Nov. 4 meeting covered other schools in the Elberta feeder pattern. The meeting will discuss expanding the district for Summerdale School.
No changes were made to the Nov. 12 meeting and it will still have discussion concerning Loxley Elementary, Elsanor Elementary, Rosinton Elementary, Robertsdale Elementary and Silverhill Elementary. The meeting will held at Robertsdale Elementary School located at 1 Cub Drive in Robertsdale. The meeting was previously marked as tentatively being held at this location. A presentation will be held by Assistant Superintendent Marty McRae
The Nov. 13 meeting saw a change in location as it will now be held at Daphne Middle School at 1 Jody Davis Circle in Daphne. The meeting will cover Jubilee Elementary School, W. J. Carroll Intermediate School, Daphne Middle School, Daphne Elementary School, Belforest Elementary and Daphne East Elementary. Assistant Superintendent Shannon McCurdy will provide the presentation.
