SILVERHILL, Alabama — Sunny skies and warm weather greeted guests on Saturday, April 27 for the 35th annual Silverhill Heritage Day Festival.
Heritage Day was first established in 1982 to celebrate the town’s heritage, primarily Swedish and Czech.
This year’s festival included more than 50 food and arts and crafts vendors, kids activities, including a petting zoo and face painting; a small parade, historic tours and live entertainment. Ladies from the Silverhill Covenant Church were also on hand selling Swedish coffee bread.
