Celebrate fall at Lillian's Fall Fest

Posted

The Lillian Recreation Park will soon fill with pumpkins, music and fun for the community. Fall Fest takes over Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"There will be something for everyone from small children to teenagers and adults," said festival organizer Lucy Smith. "The festival will feature amazing barbecue in our food and beer tent. There will also be activities, attractions and contests everyone can enjoy. We'll even show the Alabama game on the big screen, so there's no reason to stay home."

Enjoy dancing to great music, visiting the pumpkin patch, testing your riding skills on Rocket the mechanical bull and looking at antique tractors. The Fun Zone will delight the smallest guests with bouncy houses, face painting and balloon art. Visitors can also help create Lillian's largest corn cob and a new community mural.

Admission to Fall Fest is free and parking is $5 per car. Some activities, like the mechanical bull, will have a small fee. Proceeds from Fall Fest will go to fund much-needed park improvements including paving the parking lot and building dedicated pickleball courts.
