Carol Ann Dawson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, at the age of 78.
Carol was born to Ruth and Cole Brown on December 21, 1943. She was the baby of the family – the last of four children. She met the love of her life, Bobby Gene Dawson in high school. The two were married in 1960 and welcomed their first child, Kimberly Claire Dawson, followed by their son, Kevin Timothy Dawson.
Carol loved taking care of everyone around her, especially her husband, whom she loved more with every passing year. She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word and made everything around her beautiful. Her favorite hobbies included cooking, prayer and worship, music, reading, gardening, caring for her pets and spending time with loved ones. Carol had a true servant's heart and found many ways to serve others throughout her lifetime.
Carol is survived by her husband, Bobby Dawson; daughter, Kimberly Dawson; son, Kevin Dawson; grandchildren Lauren von Foregger (Barin) and Trey Cook (Claire); great grandchildren Gavin and Garrison von Foregger and Olivia Dawson Cook; sisters Sandra Moody (Rodney) and Claire Downey; sister-in-law Nancy Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Cole Brown, and her brother, Cole Brown.
A memorial service will be held at Foley Assembly of God, 314 E Azalea Ave., at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
