From car shows to lacrosse, there is something for everyone to do along the Gulf Coast, Feb. 18-20

The variety of events happening this weekend could have you making hard decisions, but there is something for everyone. Mardi Gras parades are kicking off on the Eastern Shore with the Apollo's Mystic Ladies Parade Friday night in Daphne. On Saturday, start your day watching college and high school lacrosse in Foley before heading to the Seafood Festival at The Wharf. Battle by the Bay
What: Battle by the Bay is the first ever college and high school lacrosse event on the Gulf Coast. Men's and Women's college teams and boy's and girl's high school teams from all over the region will compete at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex. Come out and watch the fastest growing sport in America.
When: Feb. 19-20, games begin at 9 a.m. and run throughout the day
Where: Foley Sports Tourism Complex, 920 East Pride Blvd., Foley

Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show
What: The 30th Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show returns to The Wharf. The event is the largest fundraiser for the Makos Academics, Arts and Athletics Club (MAAAC). Visitors can expect live music, Kids' Zone, 120 arts and crafts vendors and food including the MAAAC's crawfish booth. The car show attracts over 100 vehicles of all make and model.
When: Saturday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: The Wharf, Orange Beach

Betty: A Memoir book signing

What: The Book Exchange of Foley is hosting a book signing event for first-time author and Iowa Snowbird Mary McSwain Steele. After realizing she was not coping well after the death of her mother, Steele started writing letters to her mother. Her letters, written over several years, along with memories of growing up in rural Wisconsin and spending time of the Gulf evolved into her first book, "Betty: A Memoir."
When: Saturday, Feb. 19 from noon to 3 p.m.
Where: The Book Exchange of Foley, 101 West Laurel Ave., Foley

Fairhope: Mystic Mutts of Revelry, 3 p.m. The walking parade begins and ends at Fairhoper's Park
Fairhope: Knights of Ecor Rouge, 6:30 p.m.
Mobile: Mobile Mystics, Mobile Mystical Revelers, Mobile Mystical Friends (Route A), 2 p.m.
Mobile: Maids of Mirth (Route G), Order of Butterfly Maidens, Krewe of Marry Mates, Order of Hebe (Route A), 6:30 p.m.
