Do you feel like you could be an effective leader for your community?

Are you ready to take the next step in public service?

If so, the Candidate Development Academy may be your opportunity to learn what it takes to run for office.
Aspiring political leaders in the Gulf Coast region are invited to attend the event, an intensive training program designed to prepare individuals for the demands of running for public office. The event, hosted by Coastal 150, will take place on Jan. 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Innovation Portal, located at 358 St. Louis St. in Mobile.

Participants will gain valuable insights into compliance, fundraising, marketing, grassroots strategies, Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiatives and more. The session, which costs $50 and includes lunch, is aimed at those interested in running for office now or in the future.

The academy will feature a distinguished panel of instructors, including Wiley Blankenship, executive director of Coastal 150; Stephen Worley, executive vice president at Direct Communications; William Neumann, field operative; Katelanne Fadalla, former campaign political director and grassroots strategist; Don Davis, media strategist and partner at DSBP; Dalton Dismukes, president of Strategy Management LLC; Kirk Mattei, partner at Helmsing Leach Herlong Newman & Rouse PC; Kristina Spivey, campaign consultant at Spivey Consulting LLC; and Cory Adair, political advisor and former executive director of the Mississippi and Nevada GOP.
