The beach is great, but sometimes you just want something different. How about a day at Bellingrath Gardens and Home? Better yet, how about visiting for free?
Bellingrath Gardens and Home will honor the legacy of its founder, Walter Bellingrath, with a special event on Aug. 6, 2024, offering a day of free festivities for the residents of Mobile and Baldwin counties.
As Bellingrath was one of the first Coca-Cola bottlers in the Southeast, the celebration will feature complimentary Coca-Cola and cookies for visitors as they explore the beloved gardens. Admission will be free for Baldwin and Mobile County residents, who can enjoy the scenic beauty and historical charm of Bellingrath Gardens by presenting proof of residency at the entrance.
Bellingrath Gardens & Home, known for its vibrant flowerbeds, serene water features and picturesque landscapes, offers a peaceful retreat that has captivated visitors for generations.
Participants are encouraged to mark their calendars and bring valid ID or residency proof to enjoy the event. Organizers also urge attendees to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #MrBellingrathsBirthday.
For more information, contact Bellingrath Gardens at (251) 973-2217 or visit https://bellingrath.org/. Bellingrath Gardens and Home is located at 12401 Bellingrath Gardens Road in Theodore.
