End your summer with a splash by joining the Summer Fun Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Foley.

The event kicks off on July 15 and runs until Aug. 9, giving participants 26 days to complete the hunt.

The scavenger hunt features 10 stops, each requiring a photo. Complete all 10 and you'll be entered into a drawing for a $250 cash prize. Participants also receive an official Downtown Foley Beach Bum sticker and have a chance to win one of 10 $25 gift cards for the best pictures. Photos will be judged on originality, humor and cuteness by a panel of judges (all of who are beach bums too)

To participate, visit every stop and post a picture on Facebook or Instagram, tagging @foleymainstreet or using the hashtag #foleymainstreet. By posting, you agree to allow Foley Main Street to share your photos on social media. The hunt ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.

The scavenger hunt is confined to the Foley Main Street District, stretching from Rose Avenue on North McKenzie Street to Verbena Avenue and from Pine Street to Cypress Street along Laurel Avenue.

A drawing for the $250 prize will take place on Aug. 13, and the top 10 photos will be revealed. Winners will be contacted via social media and must pick up their prize in person from the Foley Main Street office. Entries must be family-friendly to qualify.

To join the hunt, download the Distrx app from your app store, enable location and notifications and create an account. Locate the Downtown Foley district in the app, find the Summer Scavenger Hunt under "Appetivities" and start hunting. Locations will be activated on July 15. If you encounter issues, ensure that all notifications and Bluetooth are enabled, or restart your phone.
