WILCOX — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and Mobile FBI are looking for multiple suspects after an armored truck was reportedly robbed Tuesday night in the Wilcox community of Baldwin County.
According to a release issued by the BCSO Investigations Command on Friday, at around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday the driver of an armored truck was approached by multiple individuals who took an undisclosed amount of money. The driver was not injured during the robbery, according to the release.
Shortly thereafter, a vehicle fire was reported north of where the robbery took place. Investigators believe the vehicle was used in the robbery and then set on fire.
Investigators believe the suspects left the area in another vehicle, but it is not known which direction they went and there is no description of the vehicle available.
The case is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office and the FBI.
