Bayside Academy inducts 26 students into National Junior Honor Society

Posted

Bayside Academy recently welcomed 26 middle school students into the Ann Simpson Crosby chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, recognizing academic excellence, leadership and character.

The induction ceremony celebrated students who met the organization's rigorous standards for scholarship and service. To be eligible, students must maintain an overall minimum average of 93.0 during their sixth grade year and the first semester of seventh grade, or during seventh grade and the first semester of eighth grade. Averages are based on numerically graded courses only. However, academic achievement alone is not enough — students are also evaluated for leadership qualities, community service and personal character.

This year's inductees are Ana Benassi Monegatto, Wade Bishop, Kendall Byrd, Anne Chapline Chew, Catherine Chew, Elizabeth Coumanis, Scarlett Cox, David Green, LJ Gulsby, Eli Harcourt, Isabella Ivy, Mary Kathryn Jacobs, Mary Walker Jinright, Parker Jordan, Crenshaw Miller, Louise Minto, Sadie Murphy, Alex Ogburn, Beckett Peacock, Olivia Prewett, William Roberts, Clément Samyn, Paul Samyn, James Savage, Alexander Terry and George Tran.

The Ann Simpson Crosby chapter upholds the mission of the National Junior Honor Society, which aims to promote scholarship, encourage service, cultivate leadership and inspire character development among middle school students at Bayside Academy.

Located in Daphne, Bayside Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school that serves students from PK3 through 12th grade.
