Beta Chi Sigma hosted its third annual Heart Walk on the front lawn of Baldwin County High School, bringing students and community members together to promote heart health.
School nurse Debbie Watson provided attendees with heart-healthy tips, emphasizing the importance of physical activity in preventing heart disease and stroke. After the discussion, participants walked laps totaling a mile, symbolizing a step toward a healthier lifestyle.
Founded in 2019 by Kayland Lamar and Norleisha Lewis, Beta Chi Sigma is an elite service organization at Baldwin County High School dedicated to fostering excellence in young women. Built on the principles of Character, Leadership, Attitude, Sisterhood and Scholarship (C.L.A.S.S.), the group promotes leadership, academic success and social and cultural awareness. In addition to its community service efforts, Beta Chi Sigma performs at pep rallies, sporting events and other school and local gatherings.
