Recently, six students successfully completed the Babysitting 101 Course offered by the Bay Minette Recreation Department. The course, led by instructor Whitney Esfeller, equipped participants with skills to care for children from newborns to school-aged.

Over the three-day course, students learned First Aid safety tips, emergency procedures and developed safety checklists, resumes, family profile questionnaires and emergency information sheets.

The course concluded with CPR certification and First Aid training conducted by Captain Chris Phillippi of the Bay Minette Fire Department. Each participant received a certificate of completion, a copy of "The Ultimate Babysitting Course Manual" and a small First Aid kit.
