Bay Minette Senior Center offers games, crafts and socializing opportunities

Posted

Whether it’s a game of cards, a round of dominoes or a challenging puzzle, there’s always something happening at the Bay Minette Area Senior Center.

Located at 600 Blackburn Ave., the center serves as a lively hub for local seniors, offering a variety of recreational activities and social events throughout the week.

The center is also home to the Senior Adult Nutrition (SAIL) program, which provides nutritious meals and wellness activities for older adults. Both the senior center and SAIL offer monthly calendars packed with games, special projects and group gatherings.

Card and board games are available every weekday, with regular sessions dedicated to Canasta, Bridge and Dominoes. For those seeking a quieter pastime, shelves stocked with books and a variety of puzzles provide a more relaxed option. The center also hosts creative craft sessions and special projects, giving participants a chance to explore their artistic side.

One of the center’s most popular events is the monthly potluck, where members bring homemade dishes to share, creating a welcoming and communal atmosphere.

For more information about the Bay Minette Area Senior Center’s programming, call (251) 580-1676 or follow the center on Facebook. To learn more about the SAIL program, call (251) 580-1693.
