Parks in Bay Minette will soon come alive with vibrant hopscotch patterns and other playful designs thanks to a grant awarded to the city by The Heritage Community Foundation.
The grant will fund the purchase of stencils to create colorful outdoor games, bringing a fresh burst of fun to public spaces.
During a recent grant presentation, representatives from The First bank, including Wade Neth, regional president; Marcia Stabler, regional retail specialist; Ira Bates Jr., community development officer; and Martha Ryan, branch manager, presented the award. Tina Covington and Connie Wallace accepted the grant on behalf of the city.
In addition to enhancing Bay Minette's parks, the initiative will extend to elementary schools across North Baldwin. The city plans to share the stencils with schools so they can add the same colorful and engaging activities to their campuses, encouraging outdoor play for children across the region.
