Hundreds of books found new homes in Bay Minette as the community recently gathered for the "Fall Into a Good Book" sale, a fundraising event hosted by the Bay Minette Public Library.
The outdoor sale, one of two hosted each year, raised more than $1,400 — all of which will be reinvested into library programming that supports local readers of all ages.
Organizers said the selection offered a variety of treasures, from popular fiction and classic literature to children's books, puzzles and DVDs. The collection draws on donations from the community, as well as books that the library removes from its shelves as part of regular weeding to maintain an updated catalog. Prices were set with affordability in mind, making it easy for residents to stock their home libraries.
For those who missed the event, the library offers a dedicated year-round book sale room located on the second floor. Here, patrons can browse several shelves of books, puzzles and media, each priced at just $1, continuing the library's mission to make reading accessible and affordable for all.
With strong community support, the Bay Minette Public Library's book sales continue to boost the library's ability to host events, expand resources, and enrich the reading experience for Bay Minette's residents.
