The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will bring the heat to Halliday Park on Saturday, May 17, when its annual Crawfish Cook-Off returns for a day of competition, community and crawfish.
The popular event, now a local tradition, invites teams to battle for bragging rights and titles like People’s Choice, Spiciest Crawfish and Team Spirit. The family-friendly festival runs throughout the day with live music, kids activities, cold beer on tap and, of course, plenty of crawfish.
“The Crawfish Cook-Off has quickly become a beloved tradition in Bay Minette, bringing the community together in a fun and friendly competition,” said Kristina Pittman, executive director of the North Baldwin Chamber. “We look forward to seeing local businesses and organizations showcase their crawfish-cooking talents at this year’s event.”
Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. Kids under 5 get in free. Tickets include all-you-can-eat crawfish (while supplies last), a hot dog for non-crawfish eaters and one Pepsi product. Beer wristbands will be available for those 21 and older. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or in advance at the North Baldwin Chamber office, 301 McMeans Ave. in Bay Minette.
Team registration is still open, and the Chamber is encouraging families, co-workers and friend groups to sign up and show off their skills. Entry details are available at www.northbaldwinchamber.com or by calling (251) 937-5665 ext. 2.
This year’s sponsors include Coastal Alabama Community College, Gulf Packaging, A Supply One Company, North Baldwin Utilities, Baldwin Gulf Coast Pest Control, 1010 Divine Realty, Clark Gas and Quincy Compressor.
