Baldwin EMC Board Chairman Peggy Vanover Barnes recently announced that Hunter Robinson has been selected to be the next CEO of Baldwin EMC.
"The Board of Trustees conducted a thorough and extensive search process over the last several months to select Hunter as Baldwin EMC's next CEO. Our board is highly impressed by the diverse experience and qualifications Hunter brings to this role," Barnes said in a news release. "We believe he is the best fit to continue moving Baldwin EMC forward, and we look forward to a promising future for the co-op under his leadership."
Robinson has been a long-time cooperative employee, having spent the last 26 years with Central Rural Electric Cooperative in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and he has served as their CEO since 2018.
Robinson assumed full responsibility as CEO on Aug. 19.
"I am truly honored and excited to join the strong team at Baldwin EMC. I look forward to being a part of this growing and thriving community and working with the members, the board and the employees to lead the cooperative into a bright future," he said.
Karen Moore has moved into a new role until her retirement. The company thanked her for her more than 30-year career in the electric utility industry and her almost 10 years as Baldwin EMC's CEO.
