Baldwin County Youth Orchestra hosting summer Band Camp for young musicians

The Baldwin County Youth Orchestra will host its annual summer Band Camp from June 2 to 6, offering rising 7th through 9th grade band students a chance to sharpen their skills, collaborate with fellow musicians and perform in a culminating concert.

Led by Melissa White, band director for the Daphne Feeder Pattern, the camp will be held daily from 8:30 a.m. to noon at 809 Nichols Ave. in Fairhope.

“This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your playing skills, meet students from other schools, and perform your pieces at the end of the week,” organizers said in a news release.

Tuition for the weeklong program is $120. Students must have at least one year of prior band experience to participate.

Registration is available online at https://bcyorchestra.com/summer-camp. Tuition can be paid by credit or debit card through the website or by mailing a check to the address on the website. Questions can be directed to Leroy Hughes at (251) 279-0848 or bcyorchestra@gmail.com.
