Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is set to host the 2023 Shining Star Youth Camps at Belforest Elementary, Fairhope East Elementary and Central Baldwin Middle School this summer.

The three-day camps, aimed at children aged 8-12, will feature public safety demonstrations, hands-on activities, field trips and leadership and team-building exercises.

The camps' objective is to create a fun and interactive environment that promotes learning about public service and safety while building relationships with youth and developing their confidence. The campers will have an opportunity to learn from public service agencies, venture out to other topics such as wildlife at Alligator Alley and tour the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, among other activities. Additionally, they will enjoy a fun afternoon skating session at Hot Wheels Skate Center. The cost of this year's camp is $40 and includes two T-shirts.

To learn more about the BCSO Shining Star Youth Camp, contact Baldwin County Sheriff's Office at (251) 972-6890 and ask to speak with Tayla.
