Current Lady Tigers teach skills at summer camp

Posted

The Baldwin County High School Lady Tigers held a summer volleyball camp where athletes met two nights a week for four weeks and the team members coached the campers on proper passing form, setting, serving, and hitting.

The first practice in the week was used as an opportunity to introduce new skills and work on previous skills. This practice also included opportunities for the campers to work on their communication and moving their feet to the ball by combining multiple skills and multiple people on the court. The second practice day included a refresher on skills learned then progressed to a scrimmage with the other team of the same age.

The BCHS Volleyball Camp is an opportunity for the Lady Tigers to connect with the community, which builds the foundation for the future program. It also allows players to see the coaching side of volleyball which increases their communication and a deeper understanding of volleyball.
