Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center to host signature fundraiser 'Under the Stars' for National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Posted

In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month and to celebrate 36 years of service to local child abuse victims, the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center (BCCAC) will host its signature fundraising event, Under the Stars, on Friday, March 21.

The evening promises an exciting lineup, including live music by the energetic Six Piece Suits Band, dancing and both silent and live auctions according to a news release. Guests will enjoy a night filled with delicious food and the opportunity to bid on a variety of auction items, including vacation and fishing packages, art and more.

The event will take place at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope, bringing together the community to support a critical cause. Tickets are $85 per person, with all proceeds benefiting programs and services for children affected by abuse.

Since its founding in 1989, the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center has provided vital services to thousands of local children who have suffered from sexual and severe physical abuse. The nonprofit, with offices in Summerdale and Bay Minette, offers a multidisciplinary approach, including forensic interviews, counseling, family and court advocate programs and medical exams. In addition, BCCAC works to prevent abuse through education and related community programs.

Executive Director Niki Whitaker expressed gratitude for the ongoing support the center receives from the community.

"We would not be able to provide these important services for the children without incredible support from our local community," Whitaker said in the release. "We are so grateful for all involved in our mission and would like to especially thank our 2025 Presenting Sponsor, Cox Family Foundation, and our Champion for Children Sponsors, Bishop Cabinets and Tom and Lee Mitchell. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Superhero Sponsors, Origin Bank, Elite Real Estate Solutions, Fiber Tech Industries, and all our sponsors, donors, volunteers and participants for helping to make 'Under the Stars' a successful event each year. You are saving kids' lives when you partner with your local CAC."

Sponsorship opportunities are available for those looking to make an even greater impact in the fight against child abuse. The event is an important chance for the Baldwin County community to unite in support of the mission to protect children and provide life-changing services.
