Bone & Joint of Daphne is expanding its team with the addition of Taylor Lewis, a seasoned occupational therapist with over a decade of clinical experience.
Lewis, who has specialized in hand therapy for seven years, joins Baldwin Bone & Joint to enhance its comprehensive care for hand, elbow and upper extremity conditions.
Lewis previously practiced in Mobile, where he evaluated and treated a wide range of hand and upper extremity issues since 2017. His expertise includes splint making and working with patients of all ages, from children to performance athletes.
"I strive to provide my patients with a positive environment," Lewis said. "Having a good attitude is so important for rehabilitation and the healing process. I want my patients to know that I am their advocate during their healing journey."
At Baldwin Bone & Joint, Lewis will work alongside Dr. Allison Hunter, a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, and her team, which now includes two occupational therapists and a physician assistant. The expanded team aims to provide specialized care for conditions ranging from shoulder injuries to fingertip concerns.
Lewis holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is licensed by both the Alabama Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. His leadership background includes serving as a sergeant in the United States Army National Guard.
Lewis will see patients at the Daphne office and will soon be available at the new Spanish Fort location starting in September. For more information or to schedule an appointment, visit https://baldwinboneandjoint.com/ or call (251) 625-2663.
