SUMMERDALE — Baldwin EMC Shining Star Students for the months of August and September were recently honored. Students were nominated for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.

Cam'Ron Page, an eighth grader at Foley Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC's Shining Star Student for August. He was nominated by his teacher, Tracy Brooks.

In her nomination, Brooks said, "Cam always does what is asked of him. He is very respectful toward me even when he may not agree with me. He is a student I know I can trust to help out. Cam stands for what is right, which impacts students positively."

Braxton Skoglund, an eighth grader at Daphne Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC's Shining Star Student for September. His teacher, Jamie Franklin, nominated him for the award.

"He demonstrates the knowledge of self-awareness, advocation, academic progress and phenomenal leadership skills," Franklin said in the nomination. "Braxton has a love for sports and his goal is to always try his best no matter how hard it may be. Braxton is a model student and is well respected and loved at Daphne Middle School."

WALA FOX 10 TV's meteorologist Michael White and Baldwin EMC representative Kim Frank presented the awards.
