The all-time leading rusher in Alabama high school history and Auburn football enrollee Alvin Henderson has signed an NIL deal with Duck's Diner, the restaurant announced on social media.
Opened in 2001, Duck's Diner currently has two locations in Baldwin County, its original in Orange Beach and a 2024 expansion into the former Hazel's Nook in Gulf Shores. The eatery serves diner classics and will now be adding an athlete to their growing family.
"The family and crew at Duck's Diner are incredibly proud of all your hard work and are excited to see what the future holds for you!" the restaurant said in its announcement online.
This is the first NIL signed by Henderson since enrolling with the Tiger football program. A few days later, Henderson signed an NIL representation deal with Premier Athlete Agency, announcing the partnership on his Instagram page along with the release of a set of trading cards.
Henderson had quite the high school football career at Elba High School. He became the first player in Alabama to amass 10,000 rushing yards in a season and was named Class 1A Back of the Year three times, along with being named Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season while breaking 15 state records.
He was a four-star recruit and the No. 14 player in the state of Alabama, according to 247 Sports rankings, before committing to play college football at Auburn University in June 2024 after flipping from Penn State.
Auburn currently holds the No. 6 overall recruiting class for the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to 247 Sports, as the Tigers prepare for Year 3 of the Hugh Freeze era.
"I believe in Coach Freeze. I love how he recruited me, and I trust him as a coach," Henderson told On3 Sports. "Auburn almost beat Alabama, they played Georgia very tough, and he is now recruiting top players and building the program up. He is a great person, he is a great coach, and he is getting Auburn back."
