ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- Arrows were flying March 15 and 16 at Robertsdale Elementary School nearly 500 competitors with 22 teams from Baldwin and Mobile counties converged for one of nine 2017 regional archery competitions for Alabama’s National Archery in the Schools Program. In the middle school division, Robertsdale topped the field at the two-day tournament, followed by Fairhope Middle and St. Luke’s in third. Foley High finished as the top-ranked high school team with St. Luke’s in second and St. Paul’s, third. Robertsdale’s elementary team edged out Loxley Elementary to finish third in that division behind Gilliard Elementary and St. Luke’s. Qualifiers from the regional tournaments will advance to state competition April 7 in Montgomery.
