FOLEY — Tanger Outlets Foley has announced applications are open for the 2022 TangerKIDS Grants Program. Teachers and other education leaders are invited to identify and apply for grants meeting their school’s specific needs working towards creating a more productive and inclusive learning environment.
“Tanger Outlets Foley remains committed to ensuring local students and their schools receive the tools they need to make learning accessible and inclusive,” said Tanger Outlets Marketing Director Debra Brown. “Our goal is to open doors and inspire students, and the generous support from our shoppers has been instrumental in helping us make a positive impact on the next generation.”
The program launched in 1996 to provide funding for schools in the community. Previously awarded TangerKIDS grants have funded notable projects, programs and equipment for schools, including materials for special education students with intellectual disabilities and autism, equipment for students to create productions and learn skills in communication, marketing, journalism, music and theater, and STEAM related books for school libraries.
Tanger Outlets Foley shoppers can help support the education grants, as $1 from every Tanger coupon book sold at the center is donated toward the program. For the first time since the program’s inception, community members will have a voice in selecting 2022 grant winners.
The program is open to public and private schools from pre-K to grade 12. Applications will be accepted through June 30 and can be submitted at grants.tangeroutlets.com. Recipients will be announced in August.
