All five senior baseball players at Baldwin County High School have been awarded the annual Jerry Wright Memorial Scholarship, marking the first time every senior on the team has received the honor.
This year's recipients are Aiden Owens, Jackson Paul, Reid Johnson, Jackson Duncan and Kam Drinkard.
The scholarship is presented by Kathy Wright and Jan Paul in memory of Jerry Wright, who served as Baldwin County High's head baseball coach for more than 20 years. Wright was instrumental in the construction of the school's on-campus baseball field and led the program to multiple championships during his tenure.
Funded through community donations and proceeds from the annual Jerry Wright Memorial BBQ, the scholarship honors graduating seniors who have shown commitment, leadership and dedication to the team and school.
