Families looking for a festive Easter outing can hop aboard the Cottontail Express at Wales West Light Railway, where springtime fun meets old-fashioned train travel.
Running weekends from March 22 through April 19, with additional openings on April 17 and Good Friday, April 18, the seasonal attraction invites guests to ride an authentic locomotive to the "bunny hutch," where they can visit and take photos with the Easter Bunny. The event also features an Easter egg hunt and craft activities.
Tickets include access to a variety of family-friendly entertainment, such as mini train rides, a bounce house, a playground and a hay-less hayride. Guests can test their aim with a potato cannon for a small fee. Food will be available fro purchase at the Wales West Café, offering traditional fare, and the concessions stand, which serves kettle corn and other treats. A gift shop on-site caters to train enthusiasts.
Admission is $25 per person, with children 2 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the railway or online at waleswest.com. A limited-time early bird promotion offers $5 off each ticket with promo code 'easter25' valid through March 21.
