5 Gulf Coast events you should know about this weekend, Feb. 10-12

Happy Super Bowl weekend everyone. Some people may spend the weekend prepping for the big game Sunday. For those looking for something that is not football related, we have five events you should check out this weekend. Our list ranges from the U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps on Friday to Family Fun Day at Gulf State Park. This weekend is also the first busy Mardi Gras parade weekend of the Mari Gras season. Parades will be happening in Baldwin County and Mobile all weekend long and we have put together a list of them for you.

U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps
What: See the U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps perform at Battleship Memorial Park. Step back in time as they recall the days of the American Revolution while performing in uniforms that resemble those worn by the musicians of General George Washington's Continental Army.
When: Friday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.

Where: Battleship Memorial Park, 2703 Battleship Pkwy.

Pensacola Ice Flyers $5 Night
What: Help the Ice Flyers pack the Hangar for the first of two $5 nights. Get your tickets and cheer on the Ice Flyers as they take on the 2022 SPHL President's Cup Champions, the Peoria Rivermen. Single-game tickets are on sale now at icefly.co/tickets or in-person at the Pensacola Bay Center Box Office.

Slaughter Gras at OWA
What: Fear and fright return to OWA with its newest haunted house, Slaughter Gras. Those brave enough to enter can face their fears this Mardi Gras season with four different scare zones all within one terrifying haunted attraction.
When: Friday, Feb. 10 through March 5

Family Fun Day
What: The fourth Annual Family Fun Day at Gulf State Park should not be missed. Play games, participate in the obstacle course, make a craft and visit with the animal ambassadors. Sandcastle University is hosting a sandcastle contest. A hot dog sack lunch will be available for $5.
When: Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Violin and Piano Concert
What: The St. Francis Music Society presents Marta Szlubowska and Benjamin Rollings who will collaborate to perform the monumental and emotionally charged 'Kreutzer' Sonata by Beethoven and the riveting Violin Sonata No. 2 by Prokofiev. The program will also include the haunting 'Song of Roxane' by renowned Polish composer Karol Szymanowski.
When: Sunday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m.
