With Independence Day just around the corner, Baldwin County is already bursting with stars, stripes and celebrations.
From fireworks over the water to hometown parades and community cookouts, the Fourth of July spirit is lighting up our cities and beaches in classic coastal style.
We published a roundup of holiday festivities in last Friday's edition of The Baldwin Times, and you can still catch the full list at here. Whether you're planning to wave flags at a small-town parade or cool off at a waterfront concert, there's no shortage of ways to celebrate America's birthday.
With all that red, white and blue on the horizon, the weekend calendar is a little lighter — but if you're still in the mood to get out and enjoy something local, there are a few standout events worth checking out. From the debut of Foley's haunted walking tours to hitting the driving range in Orange Beach for National Parks and Recreation Month, here's a look at what's happening this weekend across Baldwin County.
Have an upcoming event to share? Email me at whisper@gulfcoastmedia.com. Even better, add it to our online calendar at www.GulfCoastMedia.com/calendar, where it's featured in newsletters, on our website and more.
Don't forget: You can search for events by distance from your home city or even your vacation spot anywhere in the United States. Plus, adding your own event is easy and posts online the same day you submit it. While print space may be limited, there's always room on the calendar.
