What are you doing this weekend? Don’t let the everyday chores of life keep you home. Maybe the rain will give us a break and you can spend the day at the beach. Just make sure to keep an eye out for jellyfish. Our pick of events this weekend spans the Gulf Coast from Mobile to Pensacola. Take in a musical comedy filled with your favorite Jimmy Buffet songs, enjoy a fun-filled evening at OWA or watch monster trucks crush cars. “Escape to Margaritaville” the Jimmy Buffet Musical

What: The Joe Jefferson Players present “Escape to Margaritaville,” a musical comedy featuring the most-loved Jimmy Buffet songs with book by Greg Garcia and Mike O’Malley. This hilarious, heartwarming musical is the party for which you’ve been waiting.

When: Friday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug 13, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m.

End of Summer Bash

Monster Jam

What: Monster Jam is adrenaline-charged family entertainment featuring the most famous monster trucks.
