Three high school seniors from Baldwin County were among 60 students nationwide selected to receive $1,000 scholarships from Mediacom Communications as part if the company’s annual World Class Scholarship Program.

Foley High School senior Andrew Storey, Daphne High School senior Caleb Rowley and Robert Hanner III, a senior at the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science and resident of Fairhope, were each awarded scholarships recognizing their academic performance and leadership.

“Mediacom understands the importance of investing in future leaders ...,” said William Cosgrove, Mediacom’s area operations director in a news release. “I’m proud that our company annually commits financial support to talented local students with the Mediacom World Class Scholarship Program. We congratulate all Class of ’25 graduates and particularly celebrate these students’ outstanding achievements so far.”

The program, now in its 24th year, is open to graduating seniors who live in areas served by Mediacom’s high-speed broadband services. To qualify, recipients must attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school in the U.S.

Each year, Mediacom awards scholarships to 60 students to help support their post-secondary education. The initiative reflects the company’s broader commitment to education and youth development.

“Our corporate philosophy goes beyond achieving business success. We are deeply committed to fostering the potential of young minds, recognizing that investments in student development help lay the foundation for a brighter and more promising future for all,” said Tapan Dandnaik, Mediacom's senior vice president of operations, product strategy and consumer experience.
