The Many More Miles Campaign, a community outreach initiative spearheaded by Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C., has entered its 21st year, aiming to provide gently used footwear to individuals and families in need across Baldwin County.

The campaign, which launched Jan. 8 and runs through March 12, has grown into a collaborative effort involving local schools, businesses and organizations.

This year, students from Baldwin County schools are stepping up in the spirit of giving, with participating schools including Fairhope East Elementary, Fairhope West Elementary, J. Larry Newton Elementary, Rockwell Elementary, Spanish Fort Elementary, Spanish Fort Middle, Bayshore Christian School and St. Michael Catholic High School. To encourage participation, Baldwin Bone & Joint will reward the top three schools collecting the most shoes with cash prizes for their physical education programs. Additionally, the class that donates the most shoes overall will enjoy a Chick-fil-A party, and their teacher will receive a cash prize courtesy of City Hope Church.

In addition to the schools, drop-off locations are available at Baldwin Bone & Joint's offices in Daphne, Spanish Fort and Foley, as well as White-Spunner Realty, McCoy Outdoors and the USA Recreation Center. Shoes collected through the campaign will benefit a wide network of local organizations, including Empowering People, McKemie Place, Waterfront Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army, Baldwin County Foster Parents Association, Fostering Together Gulf Coast, Baldwin Family Village, City Hope Homeless Ministry, The Dream Center and local homeless communities. Schools in Baldwin County will also receive footwear donations to assist students in need through their clothing closets.

The Many More Miles Campaign is supported by key partners, including Baldwin County Public Schools, City Hope Church, St. Michael Catholic High School and Bayshore Christian School. Over two decades, the initiative has not only provided essential support for those in need but has also diverted thousands of pairs of shoes from landfills, promoting sustainability.
