Nonprofit leaders and advocates from across the region will gather Thursday, July 17 for the 2025 South Alabama Nonprofit Summit, a full-day event focused on connection, collaboration and community impact.
Hosted at Spring Hill College's Mary Lou and John Barter Student Center, the summit runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes breakout sessions, networking opportunities and a keynote address from Danielle Dunbar, executive director of the Alabama Association of Nonprofits.
The day opens with registration and networking from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the first-floor dining area, followed by a welcome session led by Spring Hill College President Mary Van Brunt and Alabama Coastal Foundation Executive Director Mark Berte.
Attendees will have the chance to participate in three rounds of concurrent breakout sessions, with Tracks A, B, C and D offered at 9:45 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. A midday break will feature lunch and a keynote from Dunbar, whose work supports and strengthens Alabama's nonprofit sector.
The summit closes with final thoughts and reflections from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., before participants are invited to continue the conversation at Iron Hand Brewing, located at 206 State Street in downtown Mobile.
