Southern Chili Lab currently has two products on the market: a fermented hot sauce and chili crisp. The products are available at pop ups locally and at The Pantry at The Wharf, with more retailers coming soon.

Dozens of new restaurants and eateries opened their doors in Baldwin County in 2022, making Alabama's fastest-growing county a foodie paradise in addition to a top beach vacation spot.
Forget those New Year resolutions to cut back. Instead, make a promise to try at least one of the delectable dining options from this list of some of the newest restaurants to call Baldwin County home. You won't be disappointed.
DAPHNE
Crumbl Cookies opened a franchise location in Daphne this year. The national brand is popular for its rotating daily flavors. Cumbl Cookies Daphne is at 1802 U.S. Highway 98, Unit D, Daphne.
Whacked Out Weiner-Daphne opened a location at 29640 AL-181, Daphne. The brand is known in the area for their having a wide range of hot dog toppings.
Market By the Bay in Daphne closed and broke hearts all over the area. Then, new owners jumped on board and reopened after a remodel. Customers can expect some of the old favorites along with new menu items and dinner service. Market By the Bay is located at 29145 U.S. Highway 98, Daphne.
Martha May's Charcuterie and Catering opened a storefront where customers can pop in and grab a mini charcuterie board, dips or ready-to-bake casseroles. Martha May's is at 9059 Lawson Road, Daphne. For hours, visit Martha May's Facebook page.
FAIRHOPE
The Fairhope Squeeze Juice Bar and Fruiteria is one of PP Hospitality's newest ventures in the Fairhope French Quarter. The menu is full of fresh pressed juice and more. They are at 42 ½ S. Section St., Suite 5, Fairhope.
Panini Pete's Pizza and Pasta, an extension of Panini Pete's, offers dinner Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Panini Pete's in Fairhope. The menu offers freshly made pizza, pasta and cocktails. Panini Pete's is at 42 S. Section St., Fairhope.
Pearl Seafood & Raw Bar opened at 334 Fairhope Ave. in July. The menu features cold and hot seafood as well as entrees for land lovers.
Ferus By the Bay is a craft brewery and restaurant with an expansive deck that is great for Fairhope people-watching. They are at 51 S. South Church St., Fairhope.
The Monkey Bar is a tropical inspired outdoor bar and restaurant venue in the middle of downtown Fairhope. They are at 51 S. Section St., Fairhope
FOLEY
Bagel Boy Foley is at 515 N. McKenzie St., Foley. For days and hours, visit the Bagel Boy Foley Facebook page, where you'll also find posts about their pop-up shops around the county.
Chipotle Mexican Grill opened in Foley Dec. 21, 2022. Stop in for a burrito or tacos. Chipotle Mexican Grill Foley is located at 2862 S. McKenzie St., Foley.
Jim 'N Nick's Community Bar-B-Q opened Dec. 13, 2022, in Foley. The location is the first to open with the brand's new quick-casual plus model that includes a quick order counter, full bar, interior and exterior dining area and a drive-through. Jim 'N Nick's is located at 2500 S. McKenzie St., Foley.
Taco Bell Foley relocated to a new building at 1255 S. McKenzie St., Foley.
GULF SHORES
High Tide Daiquiris & Mimosas opened in May 2022. The menu boasts daiquiris, mimosas, cocktails, charcuterie boards, sandwiches and more. People come for the food but stay for the views. Their location at 807 Gulf Shores Pkwy. offers water and sunset views from their large outdoor patio.
ORANGE BEACH
Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii opened a location in Orange Beach in December 2022. The brand boosts over 20 franchise locations. Bad Ass Coffee Orange Beach is at 24824 Canal Road, Orange Beach.
CoastAL Beach Bar opened on the white sand beaches in Orange Beach in December 2022. While there is still more to come with the construction of the CoastAL Restaurant, visitors can enjoy the Beach Bar which is at 25722 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach.
Dick's Last Resort opened at The Wharf in June 2022. It is at 4720 Main St., Orange Beach.
Mo'Bay Beignet at The Wharf opened in 2022 and has been serving up powdered sugar-covered delights to visitors. They are in Suite F101 at The Wharf in Orange Beach.
Southern Chili Lab isn't a restaurant, but the new hot sauce company has been winning over palates all over Baldwin County and beyond. Made in Orange Beach at The Wharf, you can find their fermented hot sauces, chili crisp and black garlic sambal for sale at various locations or online at southernchililab.com.
SPANISH FORT
Old 31 Brewing Company is the third brewery to open in Baldwin County and the first in Spanish Fort. Old 31 Brewing is at 11133 Old Highway 31, Spanish Fort.
