2 Tennessee residents in stolen vehicle arrest in Orange Beach

Two Tennessee men are in custody after the use of technology and swift police work.

On May 25, a License Plate Recognition camera (LPR camera) alerted the Orange Beach Police Department that a stolen vehicle had entered its jurisdiction. According to a news release from the police department, officers made contact with the vehicle and two occupants in the 2800 block of Perdido Beach Boulevard. Inside the vehicle, officers found two handguns, one of which was reported stolen, as well as narcotics.

Daniel Haskins, 20, and Halee Persinger, 23, were arrested. Haskins was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree, obstructing governmental operations, receiving stolen property in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property in the first degree. Persinger was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree, receiving stolen property in the first degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Orange Beach police released the two to the custody of Baldwin County Jail.
