Posted

Two men in the Perdido community of Baldwin County were arrested today in connection to a bomb threat that was made to the Baldwin County Courthouse last week.

The threat was called into 911 on Jan. 29, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.

“As a result of an extensive investigation that spanned two states, the execution of numerous subpoenas and the execution of four search warrants, Daniel Ethan Howell was arrested for making a terroristic threat in the first degree. In addition, Donald Eugene Ippolito was charged with criminal solicitation,” Capt. Daniel Steelman from BCSO’s FBI National Academy Session #275 said. “This activity disrupted the court system and caused distress to the citizens of Baldwin County.”

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi and the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance.
