There's plenty happening in Baldwin County this week, from engaging historical experiences and community fundraisers to literary discussions and festive dining events.
History buffs can set sail on the Civil War on the Eastern Shore Cruise, exploring key sites and learning about the region's past from expert guides. Meanwhile, book lovers can meet journalist Beth Shelburne at the Fairhope Center for the Writing Arts' Evening with the Writer in Residence, where she will discuss her work on justice issues in the Deep South.
Food lovers have plenty to look forward to, including the Sweet Valentine's Fondue Celebration at The Copper Kettle Tea Bar in Foley, featuring a delicious spread of soup, salad and cheese and chocolate fondue. For a heartier start to the day, the Foley Boys & Girls Club's Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will serve up all-you-can-eat pancakes, with proceeds supporting programs for local youth.
