Let me tell you a funny story.
You know how everyone is always talking about how glitter could survive a bomb? Like, you know how after Christmas you're still vacuuming up glitter months later? I raise you one — Unicone Art's Crushed Crystal Magical Mica. The slightest breath can send the shimmery, mica flying everywhere. So imagine what happens when you sneeze? Yeah. Despite my best attempts, I believe I will be finding these fine mica flakes in my house for years. Future generations will be wondering why, randomly, parts of the house are still sparkling like a "Twilight" vampire.
Maybe it was a cosmic sign that Baldwin County's weekend is about to sparkle? Yeah, I'm going with that.
This weekend's lineup is bursting with character — from outdoor concerts and colorful markets to muddy obstacle courses and cosplay conventions, there's no shortage of ways to shine. Whether you're hopping aboard a history cruise, running a 5K for a cause or shopping for handcrafted art, this weekend offers a full slate of events to keep you busy from Thursday night through Sunday afternoon.
Grab your calendar and start planning. Here's what's happening around town.
