The Gulf Coast is packed with events this week, offering everything from Mardi Gras festivities and live music to book bargains and classic cars.
Though it is a bit of a drive, revelers can enjoy the Mardi Gras Masquerade Party and King Cake Competition at Coastal County Brewing Company in Pensacola, where attendees will sample and vote for the region's best king cakes while enjoying specialty brews, Cajun food and live music. Meanwhile, bluegrass fans can head to Silverhill for an evening of foot-stomping tunes at the Silverhill Bluegrass Festival, featuring top musicians from across the region.
Book lovers won't want to miss the Foley Public Library's Annual Book Sale, a chance to stock up on great reads at unbeatable prices while supporting the library. Auto enthusiasts can check out the Orange Beach Seafood Festival and MAAAC Car Show, where vintage and modern vehicles will be on display alongside food vendors and entertainment.
For a more hands-on experience, The Copper Kettle Tea Bar in Foley is hosting Art Tea with Brie, a needle felting class where participants will craft a felted scene to take home, complete with a cozy cup of tea or coffee.

What: Downtown Foley businesses will host a Mardi Gras-themed Third Thursday, a monthly event where shops extend hours and offer special promotions, refreshments and entertainment. What: The Second Annual Coastal Garden Festival will feature everything needed to prepare for spring. The City of Foley's Arbor Day Celebration will be held during the festival at 1 p.m., followed by a tree giveaway while supplies last.

What: The Blacksmith Experience will host its fourth annual Knife Making Competition, featuring former contestants from the History Channel's "Forged in Fire." Proceeds benefit Forging A Difference, a nonprofit supporting veterans, active-duty military, law enforcement and first responders through blacksmithing programs.
