The Spanish Fort Toros earned a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for the seventh-straight year after the team maintained a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher. Daphne’s Vic Moten took home South MVP honors from the AHSAA North-South All-Star Game in Montgomery Wednesday evening with an all-around performance in the South’s win and tie. Moten started Game 1 with 3 innings pitched and 6 strikeouts en route to a 3-0 victory before she delivered a 3-RBI double in Game 2 as part of an 11-11 draw.
