The Spanish Fort Toros and Daphne Trojans collected area championships earlier this week and punched their tickets to the AHSAA South Regional Championship next week. Spanish Fort’s 2024 seniors, including Kennedy Sevcik, Mia Duran, Ryleigh Stanford, Ella Grace Nobles, Mackenzie Boullon and Raeleigh Hocker, celebrated with the Class 6A Area 2 championship plaque following a 6-5, walk-off win over the Baldwin County Tigers at home on Tuesday, April 30. The Daphne Trojans similarly won on their home turf Tuesday evening with a 15-3 win over Fairhope and will travel to Montgomery for the next round.
